WINTER

February - March

Some of the reasons people visit our lodge in the winter is to take advantage of things like

-Snowshoeing

-Cross-Country Skiing

-Aurora Borealis  (Northern Lights)

When the tundra transforms into a winter wonderland and the lakes freeze up, the path you take from the lodge, whether with snowshoes or skis strapped to your feet, is only inhibited by your imagination.

Depending on snow depth and conditions, these activities can be tailored to fit your desires.

The Northern Lights can be seen some years as early as September and continue on through March.  There are several variables to when you may have the best chance of seeing them dancing in the sky.  Visit this page to get a bit more info on the big question “WHEN?” Photos and videos do the Auroras no justice; they are one of nature’s great phenomenon that you should experience for yourself.
