Caribou Lodge is family owned, and operated by

Joe & Bonnie Bramante, and Zac & Alyssa Bramante.

Long before owning the lodge both Joe and Zac helped the previous owners guide hiking and camping trips during the busy summer seasons.

The Family

Joe and Bonnie were married in Montana in 2004 and shortly after that headed north on the Alcan Highway to put down roots in Alaska.

Joe and Bonnie have thrived in this off-grid, wilderness lifestyle, and love exploring Alaska with their daughter, Emma.

They have both spent their time in Alaska expanding their knowledge of the flora and fauna so as to share a complete and memorable experience with guests from all around the world.

Zac and Alyssa were both born and raised in Montana. They married in 2009 after both moving to Alaska.  Three years after buying the lodge, they were finally able to move from Palmer, Alaska out to the property to help Joe and Bonnie run the lodge full time, but they remain the faces of Caribou Lodge Alaska in the business communities of Anchorage, Talkeetna and the Mat-Su Valley. They are also raising and homeschooling their children, Chloe, Eiley, and Bo.

Piper and Willow are the friendly pups you'll see

at the lodge. They are both actually quite shy, but will come over to get pet by our guests from time to time.
